Anxiety at the highest level!

Why in the world did they start doing this???

Just got done eating at the Cheesecake Factory and was at KFC this week also.  However I really, really hate the fact now that they have the calorie count on the menu.  When you go into McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, etc, you already know that you are not eating something that is “good” for you, do they really need to rub it in our nose also?  Why don’t they just say when you go to the drive thru “May I take your order and yes this food will make you fat!”  We have a surgeon generals warning cigarettes and in Santa Clara, CA, you can’t put a toy in the happy meal, cause that makes kids want to eat fast food.  I say, NO I like fast food, cause it is GOOD!  I eat food cause I LIKE it!

Just think about this, when you pick up a thriller / suspense book there will be a warning inside saying “Beware this book might give you nightmares.”  Isn’t that the point?  Everything now has a sign and a warning.  When did people all of a sudden turn stupid?  Coffee is hot, but it says it on the cup.  Fast food is bad, now you know just HOW bad.  It could just be me, but wasn’t life just much simpler in the 70′s and 80′s?  Music was better, TV was better, you could eat food without guilt, and cell phones didn’t rule everyone’s lives.

Anyway, just thought I would mention this and by the way “Beware this blog might not be that good”.  Now you have been warned!

Yes! I totally agree. I get neurotic when it comes to calories and stuff if I can see them, so I’m not overly thrilled about knowing how many calories and/or carbs are in my beloved angus burger.

    I miss the 80s. I didn’t have bills in the 80s.
